Infrared Sauna Benefits
DETOX
Releases toxins & leaves you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed
Let’s face it, we are consuming toxins all day long- via our food sources, the air we breathe, and even what we put on our skin. These chemicals accumulate over time, leaving us feeling exhausted, sluggish, and sick. Enter the power of Infrared Heat. Unlike many other detoxification sources, this one is efficient and effective in aiding the body to sweat out toxins by stimulating sweat glands and rejuvenating our cells and organs. Regular Infrared Sauna use increases blood circulation, which helps aid the detoxification process by enhancing the liver and bowel functions therefore helping us cleanse heavy metals, hormones, pesticides, chemicals, plastics, herbicides, and more from the body so you are radiating at your highest vibration.
REDUCE PAIN
Reduces Inflammation & Enhances Muscles Recovery
Infrared Saunas offer a deep heat experience, which increases blood circulation and aids in cleansing the body of metabolic waste- in return sending oxygen rich blood into the depleted muscles so they recover more efficiently. This type of heat is medicinal for aches and pain, as it is known to reduce soreness and relax muscles. This thermal heat has been known to reduce stiffness in the joints and increase range of motion. Regular use could be an effective way to live a pain-free life.
RELAX THE MIND
Reduces Stress & Improves Sleep
Science has proven that 98% of disease and illness is rooted in stress. When we are operating in fight or flight mode, it is extremely difficult for the body to rest and digest. We must take time to restore and rejuvenate in order to keep ourselves whole, clean, connected, and pure. In order to do so, we must honor the value of relaxation for the mind, body, and spirit. The Infrared Sauna experience will take you to the sweet space instantly. Not only will this beautiful heat put you in a deep state of relaxation, but we have also crafted a true experience to support you in your relaxation process via specific playlists, meditations, and amenities that will elevate your entire day.
BOOST IMMUNITY
Naturally Supports Immune System Function
We all know that in order to live well, we must BE well and it is time we bring more attention to our overall health and wellbeing by treating our immune systems with the love and care they deserve. The infrared heat produces a natural fever state in the body, helping to fight off infection and disease, while also strengthens the body’s immune response. When used often, the disease fighting response becomes stronger and stronger.
THAT GLOW, THOUGH…
Sweat out impurities & release stress/toxins that cause breakouts
The sweating from the deep heat of the Infrared Sauna pulls out impurities in the pores, while the increased circulation brings natural nutrients to the skin’s surface, leaving you with a literal GLOW. Infrared Heat has been known to improve tone, elasticity, and texture of the skin. Inside of us all is a light that burns so brightly and this process helps bring that light to the surface. You will not only feel radiate, but when you look in the mirror, that beautiful inner radiance will be reflected right back to you. We are here to shine and glow, honeys!
BURN CALORIES
Increases Metabolism & Helps with Healthy Weight Management
At the end of the day, all we want is to feel our best and while we know this doesn’t come from needing to look a certain way in order to feel good about ourselves, it does help to feel good from the inside out by maintaining healthy weight and metabolism for our specific, unique, and beautiful bodies. According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, regular use of a sauna imparts a similar boost on the cardiovascular system as running. As you relax in the gentle infrared heat, your body is hard at work producing sweat, pumping blood and burning calories. As your body increases sweat production to cool itself, your heart works harder to pump blood at a greater rate to boost circulation. This increase in your metabolism helps to burn calories. All of that to say, regular use simply brings you into a state of feeling your best from the inside out!
LIGHT THERAPY:
The History of Color Light Therapy
Color Light therapy, also know as Chromotherapy, is a technique of restoring balance by means of applying color to the body. Its history is rooted as far back as the Mayan culture.
In India, Ayurveda is based on the idea that every individual contains five elements of the universe which are present in specific proportions unique to each individual, including their personality type and constitution. When these elements are out of balance, Ayurveda works with the energies inherent in the colors of the spectrum to restore this balance.
In ancient Egypt the art of healing with color was founded in the Hermetic tradition, the Ancient Egyptians and Greeks used colored minerals, stones, crystals, salves, and dyes as remedies, and painted treatment sanctuaries in various shades of color.
In China, traditional Chinese medicine incorporates color to be associated with each organ and elemental system. This healing method looks at the idea that every individual is a balance. The first color wheel was invented by Sir Isaac Newton. He split white sunlight into red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, and blue. He then joined the two ends of the color spectrum together to show the natural progression of colors.
Benefits
Light Therapy has been reported, as part of a healthy lifestyle, to temporarily reduce swelling, relieve pain, decrease inflammation, accelerate healing and greatly reduce overall recovery after medical/surgical procedures. Patients have demonstrated increased range of motion, decreased muscle tension and spasm, and improved circulation. When used with infrared technology, light therapy is one of the most effective and noninvasive ways to improve overall wellness.
Light therapy is also a growing treatment for anti-aging. Many individuals have seen a temporary reduction in the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, crow’s feet, and age spots.

Hydrate- because of the amount of sweat and deep heat, it is important to hydrate DURING your session as well. We have boxed water available in the front and complimentary water/cups for your convenience in the Sauna Room. We also have cold lavender towels for your enjoyment and convenience.
ENJOY- Our Sauna is large enough for your yoga mat- if you’d like, you can bring it into the sauna with you to enjoy some gentle and restorative poses while you get your sweat on. Be mindful that the muscles become much looser in the heat, so no need to OVER- STRETCH or go for the deepest stretch of your life, just enjoy gentle and subtle postures. AND/OR rest in quiet meditation. *Of course you are welcome to bring your own devices into the sauna as well, but we highly recommend refraining from scrolling, working, or social media. Use this time wisely- as an opportunity to truly decompress, unwind, and relax.
After Your Session:
Towel off, enjoy cold lavender towel, and put on a robe (provided in room)
Cold Shower: This is not required, but HIGHLY recommended. Conveniently, we have a shower in both the women’s and men’s restrooms. Should you need an extra towel, the front desk is happy to help.
Hydrate: More water!!! Even after your complete your session, the benefits are still running through your entire body. Help the detoxification and rejuvenation process along by continuing to drink a lot of water throughout the rest of your day.
SAUNA TIPS:
If you’re new to Infrared Saunas, the heat can be a lot; however, just like with your yoga or meditation practice, the more you do it, the more you will experience the benefits. It takes the body a few sessions to acclimate to this new and powerful healing modality so be patient and kind with yourself. Remember to stay hydrated during your session and use the cold lavender towel when you feel like you need a little break and refresh mid-session. On your first session or two, you might notice that it takes a while for your body to break a full on sweat… this is normal. Infrared heat is extremely different from the heat we’re used to because it heats your body directly- from the inside out, rather than just heating your skin’s top layer with hot air. It’s the internal heat that is so unbelievably healing; so, be kind and patient with the process. As this becomes part of your regular routine and practice, the body becomes more used to heating itself from within and eventually you’ll experience the sweat sooner into each session.
