Finding Stillness

Be still and know.

In this workshop, we will practice some "tools for the mind" and sit with whatever we need to sit with. Not every meditation is going to be perfect. Sometimes it leads to more peace, calm, clarity, etc., but sometimes we come out of it feeling the same as when we began. That doesn't mean we failed at it. I will not promise that you will feel a certain way during or after meditation. I will say that it usually creates some sort of energy shift, but we won't know until we try. The trick is to willingly observe our inner experience with an open mind, an open heart and a curious eye. A big part of the practice is letting go of control and to do our best to let our emotions and feelings pass through us no matter what they are. To feel whatever we need to feel with love, compassion and little to no expectation and see what happens.

We will dive into:

-Basic breath awareness

-Loving kindness meditation 

-Mantra

-Visualization

-Shaking

-Body scanning

-The power of the pause

-Our relationship to thoughts

-Letting go of expectations and perfectionism

The intent is to "try on" different ways to meditate in order to discover how we respond to each one. We will discuss the importance of "finding your seat", how to watch thoughts come and go with less judgment, and how to apply meditation in real time off the mat.

This Wood Dragon year has called on us to transform, to go beyond our comfort levels, and to breathe in new purpose and opportunity. The Moon Festival, which occurs on September 17th's Full Moon, offers a pause to celebrate the transformation and growth since the beginning of the year. And if you've had a year anything like RFY, baby it is time to dance under this gorgeous harvest moon Light.

Of course by no coincidence our Northern Hemisphere welcomes the Fall Equinox on the same week, and so as in year's past, we gather as community to mark the balance of Light & Dark, Yang & Yin, Expanse & Retraction.

Expect an evening of big movement driven by a rhythmic playlist, and balancing Yin postures and acupressure points to cool and soothe. We always look forward to these markers of the calendar year. It is our chance to celebrate You, our community, and of course connection of Spirit.

Join Charlotte and Toni for an afternoon of upside-down play and empowerment! Leo season is a time to be courageous and confident. When we go upside down it can immediately give us a rush of fresh energy, excitement, and remind us to express ourselves fully without fear. No experience is necessary! Just a willingness to go for it and meet yourself where you're at. This is a beginner friendly/all levels workshop.

We'll start with a short warm-up flow then go through each inversion step-by-step with modifications as needed using props, partners, and the wall. Wisdom from Within: A Niyamas Workshop

The beauty of yoga is that it is so much more than the physical practice. In this workshop, we will explore the yoga that happens off the mat, specifically the set of yogic principles we call the Niyamas. These principles offer us a deeper look into how we interact on an internal level, bringing our awareness to the thoughts, actions, and inner observances that we direct towards ourselves. The Niyamas are the “seeds” that root us to who we are at our core and encourage us to explore all the possibilities of who we can grow into.

A large part of this workshop will involve group discussion and journaling around each of the five Niyamas to grasp the essence of each “seed”. We will also explore movement, breathwork, and meditation practices to connect us to these principles on a physical level. 

Designed for yogis of all levels and experience, this workshop is the perfect opportunity for those who are ready to broaden their understanding of the yoga we can experience off the mat.

Explore Your Breath

In this workshop we'll explore, connect, and deepen our relationship with our breath through various short exercises and an extended form of breathwork called conscious connected breathing.  

Our breath is one of the main tools we can use to stay in the present moment (which slows down obsessive thinking), it has the ability to release tension in the body, it can amplify relaxation and energy all in one, and can assist with processing and letting go of stuck emotional wounds and blockages. It can awaken parts of us we didn't even know were there and returns us to a sense of home within ourselves.

We'll start with a short and gentle yoga flow to loosen up the body and give attention to specific breathing spaces. The bulk of the workshop will be lying down on the spine in a comfortable position and focusing on circular breathing.

This is an intimate workshop where personal information is welcome to be shared or not. Due to this nature we are limiting it to 8 people. If you have been feeling called and ready to "do the inner work" and experience how your breath can be transformational, this workshop is for you.

We'll have a short discussion at the beginning of each workshop and optional sharing/questions at the end.

In this beginner friendly workshop, we will practice 20 minutes of breathwork to prepare the mind and body for 20 minutes of seated meditation. We cannot meditate without our breath. One of the main reasons for a yoga practice is to prepare ourselves to sit comfortably. In order to quiet the mind we must practice becoming friends with the mind and be okay with thoughts coming and going. This takes patience, practice, and letting go of competition and the need for a specific result. It's about observing oneself with loving awareness, non-judgment, and curiosity so that we can enhance feelings of gratitude, peace, and joy. That's why we're offering four workshops where you can come to just one or more to get comfortable with establishing your own meditation practice if it's something that is calling to you. We'll have a short discussion at the beginning of each workshop and optional sharing/questions at the end.

The Pisces full moon brings with it a powerful opportunity for expanding and awakening our consciousness by gifting us an opportunity to tap into our subconscious where we hold all of our beliefs based on every experience we’ve had in our lives.This full moon is loaded with potentiality, but reminds us that in order to truly connect with our most authentic selves and cultivate the life of our dreams, we must understand how to expand our consciousness and unblock any limiting beliefs stored in our subconscious minds that are ultimately holding us back and keeping us small.

In this ceremony, Alee Link will guide us through a talk on the current astrological happenings while helping us to deepen our understanding of consciousness. We will then undergo a somatic experience to help us unblock any sticky beliefs in our subconscious so we are operating from a state or expanded consciousness. We will use kundalini techniques along with Alee’s unique style of movement she uses to unblock anywhere we feel stuck so we can open ourselves up to infinite possibilities.To seal it all in in the most medicinal way, our resident sound therapist, Catherine Gaston, will use singing bowls and drums for a sacred sound experience that will feel purifying and nourishing all at once.

Join Charlotte and Lauren for another firey inversion workshop! Leo season is a time to be courageous and confident. When we go upside down it can immediately give us a rush of fresh energy, excitement, and remind us to express ourselves fully without fear. No experience is necessary! Just a willingness to go for it and meet yourself where you're at. This is a beginner friendly/all levels workshop. 

We'll break down the following inversions:

Traditional headstand

Tripod headstand 

Forearm stand

Handstand

Dolphin pose

Shoulderstand

Legs up the Wall

We'll start with a short warm-up flow then go through each inversion step by step with modifications as needed using props, partners, and the wall. We'll also practice fun transitions you can bring into your yoga practice. We guarantee everyone will be able to go upside down no matter your experience. Join Charlotte and Catherine for an immersion of breath and sound to quiet the mind, awaken the heart, and enliven the soul. Breathwork combined with surrendering to the analog frequency of singing bowls, drums, and other instruments can raise your vibration, unblock stagnation, and create an opportunity for a positive transformational shift physically, mentally, energetically, and spiritually. 

 

We will begin with a short discussion about frequency, vibration, and energy and then dive into a short, gentle flow to loosen up the body, creating a container for a for the immersion. Charlotte Gadilhe, RYT500 and Breath Coach will guide you through potent breathwork to stimulate your natural healing abilities and help you enter into a profound state of relaxation. We will close with a sound bath led by Catherine Gaston, E-RYT200 YACEP and Sound Healer which will not only purify you from the inside out but also infuse energetic vitamins into every ounce of your being. This sound experience is designed to help you unblock stagnant energy in mind, body, and spirit in order to create space to absorb the true magic of this life.

Each and every soul on this planet deserves a prosperous and abundant life and we are here to hold space and help guide you into a deeper understanding of the law of attraction and the universal truth of Abundance.

Alee Link will guide us through the energetics of abundance from a spiritual perspective by offering insights, practices, prayers, meditations, and rituals we can incorporate into our daily lives to call in abundance. While Jen Bickerstaff will use her many years in finance to help us understand and work with the energetics of money on a practical level.

These two come together to help us form a healthy relationship with financial freedom and our deservingness. We will explore how to know when we are blocking ourselves in the department of finance and how to unblock any dams holding us back from living in prosperity.

This workshop is a deep dive into our understanding of lack vs abundance mentality. We will use many of the 12 Spiritual Laws of the Universe with specific focus on the truths of success in order to help guide is into the reception of abundance. This workshop is equal parts spirituality and practicality and everyone will go home with a sense of excitement and courage to call in and begin living a prosperous life.
